The lessons were developed by the United States Institute of Peace (USIP). Established by Congress as an independent, nonpartisan institute, the USIP's mission is to “increase the nation’s capacity to manage International conflict without violence.” Through interactive and collaborative activities, students learn how about the challenges of and rewards of being an agent of change.
