Literature Circles: Getting Started

Make reading more enjoyable and interactive with literature circles! Here you'll find detailed lessons to begin the literature circle process. Ten lessons introduce each role learners take on. Literature circle roles include the discussion director, vocabulary enricher, literary luminary, and checker; all of which, help to create and guide discussion questions, clarify vocabulary word meaning, and check for assignment completion. Once class members have a firm grasp on their active part, you can continue the learning experience throughout the school year.
